After an extended overhaul, disk uploads are available once again. The button is found at the middle of the toolbar. Images up to 500k can be uploaded from the local computer into the FIG foreground.
Please post a comment if you have any trouble using the feature.

i have a quick question, im trying to make a banner for my blog, but on your new font image generator it wont let me make it large with out putting the last word underneath the first two. is there anyway i can make my banner large without having the last word go underneath the others? thanks, and i love your site. it saved my life! :)
ReplyDeleteHello Anne Marie, Thanks for the kind words about FIG.
ReplyDeleteThe maximum new image size in FIG is 640x480 pixels. When the font size is set such that the finished image would exceed 640px wide, the text is word-wrapped to the next line so its not cut off the finished image.
One way to get around this limitation is to reduce the font size to where the text is as big as possible but stays on one line. Then, double-click on the image and drag-resize it to the width you want. (Resize of an existing image does not observe the 640px limit). Resize of an image this way causes it to loose sharpness so you may want to sharpen is a bit afterward.
I hope this work-around does the job for you.
