Email not working

Update: the problem is resolved. please post a comment here if you have any problems.

On Friday, July 3 afternoon, The email function in FIG is not working with an error message ...cannot connect to SMTP host. I don't know why but am looking into it.

    I need a help from you guys..i want to create fonts to copy into a card.so can't i create fonts without a background colour?? if you have any solution regarding this plz let me know..

  2. Hi Kasuni, You can create transparent PNG images. Go to the control panel (the crown icon to the far left of the Create button) and select
    transparent PNG, then create your image. To use in another application, you need to save first to your local disk and load from there because when you cut and paste directly from FIG, the destination app will not know the aplha channel and so just sets background black.

    Please repost if that doesn't answer your question.

    Thanks for the reply..
    I followed the options you gave but when i try to paste the font that i saved in ma disk it contains with a gray colour background..i need to create a font with an invisible background..then i can paste them wherevr i want..
    plz jeff need a answer for this matter soon...bcz i have to create a b'day card to an up coming bdy..

  4. Hi Kasuni. I think the problem you are having is with the windows clipboard which does not carry the transparency data for PNG image. Is there an import or insert image feature in the graphics program you are using? The main point is to not use windows clipboard to insert your image. What is the program you are using?

  5. ya im trying to edit this image with using "ms paint" so i think it may b the reason to this issue...
    however can you tell me a way to do my creation without using mspaint??

  6. There are lots of free graphic programs you can download like Artrage,GIMP,Irfanview,DrawPlus4, etc. Or you can download a demo of most any graphics software even Photoshop. I personally use Artrage,Expression3(both free) and Paintshop pro 9. Google any of those names to find a download site. Good luck wth your project and thanks for using FIG
